This gallery shows a selection of my stained glass & leaded light windows, panels and restoration work.
If you are interested in having a new stained glass window or leaded light, I offer a friendly and comprehensive service, from design & quotation, through to manufacture and installation.
I also offer a restoration and repair service – from the smallest of repairs to a complete re-build.
If you have a window that you think needs repair, I will examine the window, discuss the various options and provide a written estimate for the costs.
On- site repair
If the window or panel appears solid and does not shake or rattle, but there are a one or two cracked pieces of glass that are not too complex in shape, or a few broken solder joints, then it might be able to repaired in-situ and without
removing the window.
Section repair or re-build
Most of the window or panel is intact but has a badly damaged section, then the window will need to be removed and the damaged section repaired – replacing the lead and glass where
necessary.
Total re-build
If the window or panel is very unstable, rattles or is seriously bowed then it will require a total re-lead. This will require removing and taking apart the whole window. It will then be re-built using new lead, retaining the good existing glass and replacing any broken glass. The glass will be matched as closely as possible for colour and texture.
